| Pick up Facility |
| LPU arranges for pick-up facility for the international students in group of minimum 8 students from Delhi or Amritsar Airport. To avail this facility a student must request and register for the service at least two weeks prior to arrival and provide the complete details of his/her flight. Also pick-up facility is offered to all international students from Jalandhar or Phagwara railway station or bus terminals. |
| Orientation Programme |
| The International Office of the University organizes an orientation programme especially for non-Indian students a week before teaching starts. The orientation programme has been designed to welcome the new international students to LPU and to provide them an opportunity to meet other international students, familiarize themselves with the University campus and learn about resources available to make their stay and study easier and successful. A complete campus tour is also arranged to familiarize the international students with University Campus. |
| Counselling |
| Special one to one counseling is provided for all new international students to cater to their special needs and making their settlement in their new environment quick, easy, comfortable and convenient. The psychologist and counsellors on the campus provide a confidential and professional service conveniently accessible to all students. The counsellors can address students’ worries and concerns including study difficulties, home sickness, adjustment issues etc. |
| Special Events |
Special activities and events are organized all around the year for the international students. These help to contribute to cultural and social elements in the academic life to make the stay of the international students more pleasant, interesting and stimulating experience. They act as a way to learn the cultural heritage of various countries and celebrate the unity in diversity. Global Village is one such event.

| English Language Support |
LPU offers intensive English Language programmes for all international students who wish to strengthen their English language skills. These programmes are offered in the first year of study and open to all international students whose native language is not English. The language trainers are highly trained and experienced to cater to the needs of the students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

| The University offers a single window support service to all its international students through its International Office. The International Office is a one stop place which caters to all needs and requirements of the international students, right from applying for a Student Visa, securing tips before embarking on the journey to instructions on landing, reaching the University, medical insurance, assistance with adjusting in new environment and other general concerns. |
